I oversee all aspects of revenue generation, including ticket sales and service, 套件销售, 企业合作销售 & activation, concessions and retail sales. But most of my time is spent on people. It’s a people business, from the product to the employees to the relationships we have with our fans.

The 体育商业 program at Mount Union really is unique. There is a big leap between discussing theory in the classroom and actually bringing that theory to practice for the students. The program is engaged with the industry at a variety of levels, has students working on real life projects and the 体育商业 faculty all have relevant sport industry work experience.

The Sports Information Office was a huge part of my life during all four years at Mount. I give a lot of credit to Mike DeMatteis, the Sports Information Director, for being a big part of my growth and development during my time in Alliance. I was also a member of the Men’s Basketball team my freshman year and the Baseball team my senior year. I did not get much playing time, but I still truly value the life lessons I learned and the relationships that were built with my teammates and coaches.

I interned for Blue Streak Camps in Chagrin Falls which is a company that runs all the summer camps for the Cleveland Indians, Cavs and Rockers as well as other all-sports camps for kids. Mount Union didn’t assist me in obtaining this internship, but Dr. Kadlecek did help me land my first job after college. My experience at Mount Union created opportunities for me that no other institution would have been capable of.

The Mount Union Sports Sales Workshop is an event I have been involved in personally since its inception. 这是一个独特的事件. Kadlecek started 15 years ago and truly has an impact on students, so I support that event every year. I also serve on the Sports Business Advisory Board which advises the program on curriculum, internships and program development. 另外, I try to get back to campus at least once a year to speak to students about my career path and what to expect working in the sports industry.
Working Toward a Common Goal
My staff is my favorite part of my current job. 这是一个非常特殊的群体. Amazing things can happen when you put a team of people together who all work extremely hard focused on a common goal, and at the same time none of them are worried about who gets the credit in the end.
未来的目标
I want to be a great husband and father, which I believe is always a work in progress. If I screw that up no professional accomplishment will ever fill that void.
